New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is holding his each day press conference on the Covid-19 outbreak on the heels of protests throughout the U.S. over the police killing of George Floyd.

On Thursday, Cuomo stated the state would increase its testing standards to incorporate the hundreds of people that participated in latest George Floyd protests. Floyd’s demise at the fingers of Minneapolis police May 25 has sparked worldwide demonstrations which have drawn tens of hundreds of protesters in cities throughout the world. Cuomo stated the protests drew about 20,000 folks in New York City alone and extra throughout the state.

Later on Thursday, Cuomo tweeted that two cops in Buffalo have been suspended after a video surfaced of them pushing a 75-year-old man to the floor. The man was seen stumbling again after the shove and mendacity on the floor with blood popping out of his ear.

“Police Officers must enforce — NOT ABUSE — the law,” Cuomo

late Thursday.

The coronavirus has contaminated greater than 1.eight million folks in the U.S. and greater than 6.6 million folks throughout the globe, based on knowledge from Johns Hopkins University.
