World Health Organization officials are scheduled to answer reside questions about the coronavirus pandemic and mental health over social media on Wednesday.

Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, WHO’s technical lead on the pandemic, and Devora Kestel, director of mental health and substance use on the Pan American Health Organization, are scheduled to take part.

A research revealed earlier this week confirmed that folks within the U.S. looked for extreme anxiety-related data at document highs starting in March when the coronavirus pandemic was declared a nationwide emergency. The researchers from the Qualcomm Institute on the University of California, San Diego analyzed Google Trends relationship again 16 years.

Researchers regarded for searches on “anxiety” or “panic” together with “attack,” equivalent to “panic attack,” “signs of anxiety attack,” “anxiety attack symptoms,” in accordance to the research revealed Monday in JAMA Internal Medicine. 

The United Nations, the dad or mum group of the WHO, has beforehand warned that the coronavirus pandemic “has the seeds of a major mental health crisis.”
