Several airways’ booking sites down due to Google software issue

Google mentioned it was working to repair an issue on one in all its platforms after flight-search and booking features on a number of main airways’ web sites have been down Monday.

Websites for American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines confirmed error messages when customers seemed up flights Monday afternoon.

Google offers flight-search and value information for these web sites. A spokesperson for the corporate mentioned it’s engaged on a repair.

United’s web site appeared to be working at three p.m. ET and a spokeswoman for the airline mentioned the outage lasted about two hours.

“We are currently experiencing an issue that is making it difficult for customers to purchase flights on delta.com, the Fly Delta app, and through our Reservations Call Center,” Delta mentioned in an announcement. “This issue is caused by the failure of technology provided to Delta and multiple other airlines by Google. We are currently engaged with technical teams at Google in order to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.”

Delta mentioned clients can nonetheless test in for flights.
