How Walmart plans to take over health care

Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, desires to be your physician, too.

In September 2019 the corporate identified for its “Everyday Low Prices” launched Walmart Health, a major care clinic, at a retailer in Dallas, Georgia. The doctor-run clinic, the primary of its form for the large field retailer, affords companies like X-rays, annual checkups and dental exams. 

As customers face skyrocketing healthcare prices, Walmart, together with rivals CVS Health and Walgreens, is diving deeper into the healthcare enterprise, opening in-store clinics in an try to seize a slice of the $3.6 trillion Americans spend yearly on healthcare.
