Coronavirus live updates: WHO says 172 countries in on global vaccine plan; Chinese e-commerce giants see a boost

Scientists are expressing some doubts in regards to the Food and Drug Administration’s emergency use authorization for convalescent plasma as a remedy for Covid-19 sufferers. In a Sunday information briefing, President Donald Trump touted the remedy as a “breakthrough.” Former FDA chief Dr. Scott Gottlieb instructed CNBC that whereas there was sufficient knowledge to justify the authorization, the remedy will not be a “home run.”
